Dr. Waghmarae has been in practice since 1988 in WNY. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, Pain Management, Medical Cannabis, Addiction Medicine, and Anesthesiology.

Dr. Waghmarae is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, World Institute of Pain, International Society for the Study of Pain, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, North American Neuromodulation Society, International Neuromodulation Society.  Additionally, he participates in many lecturing events, advisory boards, as well as Poster Presentations INS Edinburgh, NANS – Vegas. Dr. Waghmarae has also lectured in South Africa and Kenya on Neuromodulation and Pain Management.

Sandra Gutierrez, MD

Headshots - PMAWNY Gutierrez.pngThough Dr. Sandra Gutierrez may not be a native of Buffalo, the community makes her feel like one. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from New York University, she graduated with honors from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine to obtain her medical degree. After a year of surgery at Brooklyn Hospital Center, she went back to University at Buffalo to complete her residency in family medicine. She has over 23 years of diverse experience; working as a Family Practice Specialist in New Jersey before branching into the field of pain management. Dr. Gutierrez feels working in family medicine was able to give her a more well-rounded approach to pain management.  She is able to speak multiple languages including Spanish and French.

Michael Giglio, MD

MGiglio.pngDr. Giglio completed a neurology residency at State University of New York Upstate, in Syracuse, NY. His internal medicine internship was served at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA. In addition, he completed a neurobehavioral fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY and earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine.

Dr. Giglio diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system. Some of the more commonly encountered conditions he treats include headaches, radiculopathy, neuropathy, stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, deformities of the spine, head traumas, sleep disorders and neuromuscular diseases.

Antonino Carlino, DC FIACN DIBE

Dr. Antonino Carlino Dr. Antonino Carlino is a Buffalo native, Doctor of Chiropractic, who is a Fellow in the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology and a Diplomate in the International Board of Electrodiagnosis. He is also certified in Intra-Operative Neuromonitoring, where he has assisted in several thousand complex brain and spinal surgical interventions, including spinal fusions and tumor/cancer removal.  Dr. Carlino is also certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia and has been in private practice since 2004.  His background and experience has enabled him to work closely and collaboratively with many of the top orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons, within the Western and Central New York areas.

Dr. Carlino has 14 years of experience in practice management, practice building, and patient management. With his extensive knowledge of medical treatment protocols, in conjunction with targeted marketing to relevant and varied medical disciplines, he has personally managed, and assisted in establishing medical practices throughout the Western and Central New York areas.   He has been very successful at treating patients with various types of spinal and extremity conditions, as well as those who have failed with surgical interventions.  Dr. Carlino has collaborated with pain management physicians, Podiatrists, Neurosurgeons, primary care physicians, and urgent care centers, consulting and assisting providers in the formulation of proper diagnoses and treatment plans for injured individuals. 

Lastly, Dr. Carlino has worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York Chiropractic College where he educated interns in the clinical setting, providing students with hands-on, clinical experience in patient care, practice management, marketing, diagnosis, medical billing and coding.

Johan C.A.M. de Beer, DO, PT

Johan C.A.M. de Beer, D.O., P.T.Dr. Johan de Beer has over 32 years of experience in the field of rehabilitative medicine.  He is a native of the Netherlands, where he graduated with his degree in physical therapy.  After moving to the United States, he graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy.  He continued his pre-med courses at the University of Buffalo, prior to graduating from NOVA Southeastern University with a degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy. He completed his Certificate of Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Dr. de Beer's comprehensive rehabilitative background has enabled him to work in a variety of patient settings and among the top physicians in Western New York.

Dr. Johan de Beer has extensive knowledge of the neuromuscular system and physical rehabilitation, as related to pain management. His approach is unique to each individual and consists of a variety of treatment interventions, which may include soft tissue mobilization or myofascial release, cupping, stretching, therapeutic exercise, joint mobilization or manipulation, neuromobilizations and motor control training.  He understands the importance of an integrated program to improve pain and restore function.

He is committed to achieving optimal patient outcomes by utilizing evidence based medicine and offering individualized treatment programs. Dr. de Beer takes a personal approach to patient care, education, symptom relief and preventative treatment.  His focus is on the individual needs of the patients, with clear and timely communication with your physician.
